May With Sammy Borthwick

May With Sammy Borthwick

Well it’s still all guns blazing here so unfortunately I’ve been a bit slow to get an update for May but here we go …

The month started off great with Corcovada getting his final foxhunter double clear to qualifier for Second Rounds 2015 and then he also went on to qualify for the prestigious Royal Highland Foxhunter Championship. Unfortunately though I had to say goodbye to him as he went back to his owners Robert Bevis, but I can’t wait to see to see him out about competing!

April Love has been going great jumping double clears and picking up places here and there. She had a fairly quite month in terms of big shows but she has a busy couple of months ahead.

The young horses have again been progressing nicely, getting better and better and moving up a level. It soon won’t be long before we will be starting on our first very own homebreds as well so its all very exciting.

This month I also had a visit of my favourite Baileys Nutritionist, Caroline. She comes every 3-6 months to keep an eye on my horses. All my horses are looking amazing thanks to her advice and of course the great products of Baileys!

As always I’ve been busy with breaking and schooling horses and currently have some very nice horses to work with! It feels like the summer is only just getting started and I’m very exciting about it. Some possible up coming shows include NORTHCOTE YOUNG HORSE, BRITISH MASTERS CSI ** and ROYAL INTERNATIONAL, HICKSTEAD. Make sure you keep checking back each month to keep up to date, I’m sure there is a lot to come this summer and I’ll be letting you in on the good (and bad!) every month !!
