Stable Equestrian rider – Will Fletcher
Will Fletcher 20 year old Showjumper, aiming to compete at the top tier of his sport, each year the dream becomes more achievable while at the same time poses hard questions and a lot of hard work.
Brought up in a Showjumping environment with both parents (Tina and Graham) jumping at international level over many decades, their invaluable experience has enhanced Will’s sporting potential in an increasingly competitive environment.
Will is the reigning British Under 21 Champion, having previously won the title in 2017 and is currently competing a string of horses at top National and International level. Participating at some of the most prestigious shows in the country such as; Horse of the Year Show, Olympia, Hickstead, Windsor, Bolesworth and Liverpool. As wells as a proven record of producing horses from young horse classes up to Grand Prix level.
Before the age of 21 Will competed on two Senior GB Teams in Rabat in Morocco and Uggerhalne, Denmark, and has been a regular member of Young Rider Teams winning European Team Silver in Fontainebleau and qualifying for the individual final on two occasions.
My current top horse is Persimmon. ‘Percy’ has been an incredible horse for me since I got him in 2017. He used to be a top eventer winning team silver at the Blair European Championships in 2015, since he decided that he didn’t fancy eventing anymore he has switched to Showjumping seamlessly. He has been my partner on every team I have been on and has helped push my career further than I ever thought I would get.
My short-term goals are to go to the U21 European Championships in Vilamoura and to jump in a 5* Grand Prix before the turn of the year. My long-term goals are to reach as high a point in Showjumping as I possibly can.
