Paul Gaff back in the saddle

Paul Gaff back in the saddle

Finally! I’m back riding again!!

Now all fixed and as of the end of October able to jump all the horses properly again, this has been a rather busy month saucing exciting new horses for myself and for clients! I have four exciting new horses to introduce!

Mrs Nicola Schragars Ecclesmachan aka Jack – A 6yo 16,2 black gelding by Hemmingway. With a view to eventing him next season he is also being tailored for Mrs Schragars Daughter for the Para dressage.

My mothers and my own Gift O’ The Gab aka Abbie – 4yo 16,3 Bay mare by De Nero (half brother to Maddie Millington-Drakes exciting and talented Abacus) a free flowing uphill and expressive horse with a incredibly scopey and careful jump!

Mrs Stella Zhang’s Java’s Eye Candy aka Java – 8yo 16,1 chestnut mare by Ricardo Z. Ready to start eventing 2016 with a view to qualifying Daughter Yuyu for grassroots and progress onto riding at 1*.

And lastly for now Miss Roo Fox’s Rumour Has It – 6yo 16,1 bay mare by Numero Uno. For sale, she has a phenomenal jump and very well suited for pure show jumping although has potential to dressage/event too! Three well balanced expressive uphill paces and an incredibly careful jump!

As from now I’m busy winter training all the new horses and bringing the old team back into work after their holidays. Dressage with Charlie Hutton and his Beautiful wife Abbie and show jumping with the very experienced and tactful Paul Crago. Having trained with Charlie’s Mother Pammy for 3 years and since moving from Talland, Charlie has helped me for the last 5 and a half years I find his sympathetic approach to teaching the horses and experience of training a variety of horses incredibly helpful for the more hot headed types!

Final bit of news – my new website is up and running now so please check out www.paulgaffeventing.com to follow my plans and keep up with my clinic dates etc.
